Mr. Mecham
Thank you for helping organize the announcements basketball game. It was enjoyable for all, and a fantastic venue for our young and not so young stars to showcase their talent.

Congratulations
To the Class of 2014 for bringing home the Lombardi Trophy again, and to all the single ladies who just put another ring on it.

TBT
In honor of throwback Thursday (yesterday), I would just like to mention that the Naked Brothers Band was super sick.

Mock Trial
The opening night of the tournament was last night, and it continues next Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Let Mr. Del Rio know if you want to attend.

Lol 4 Charity
Disclaimer: this does not involve laughing out loud to raise money for charity.

LoL for CHARITY!?
By: Thomas Higginson (and Brian Kim)

With two clicks of my mouse, I found myself amid my comrades on a battlefield wisped with the taunts of my enemies. A place where charity begets video game skirmishes amongst friends; where I hear the cries of mine enemies whilst they flee in fear of my spinning axes towards the warm embrace of their mothers. I’m speaking, of course, about League of Legends 4 Charity, the first San Diego wide, non-profit, tournament exclusively for high schoolers. If you’re considering putting down this article because a computer game is ‘nerdy’, shame on your judgmental self. For I only make it sound a lot more ‘nerdy’ than it actually is.
In association with PCI, BK, Christopher Voss, and Nikhil Palanki have organized this tournament to raise money for PCI’s outright program to India. This is the first year the tournament was introduced and already the league had 18 teams, or 90 players, signed up to participate; coming from all of the following high schools: Bishop’s, CCA, Torrey Pines, Cathedral, Mira Mesa, Calvin Christian, Scripps Ranch, Country Day, and Westview.
I’m sure you’re aware of PCI (Project Concern International) and the amazing charity work they do, and have done (an example being Bishop’s India trip). However, if you’re anything like I am, then you’re probably looking for simple ways to get involved and help the community. Fortunately, BK, Christopher Voss, and Nikhil Palanki have organized a San Diego wide League of Legends tournament, exclusively for high schoolers. Although you may not play the computer game, or have even heard of it, you can support the tournament by going to the live finals held at Grand Del Mar Resort’s Club M on March 9th, or donating to the tournament because all profits go towards PCI’s outright program to India. There will be free food, and even give away prizes for lucky attendees! If your intrigue surpasses more than that is expected, please visit league.gaming4charity.org.
It’s for a good cause, you’ll meet new people, and it’ll be fun. Don’t be shy.
